Because of confusion in the Bid Depository rules the painter was told to paint all identification on piping. With the help of the S.P.P.C.A. the work fell back onto the mechanical trade, resulting in a considerable cash saving for the painter.

Comments from General Contractors: Had the S.P.P.C.A not got involved, the painter would have:- Been charged for all the costs on one project.- Had to split the costs with the mechanical on the other project.
